What is the Roundhill Ball Metaverse Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF)?
FRANKFURT, Germany, March 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/- As of today, the Roundhill Ball Metaverse UCITS ETF (METV) is live on the Deutsche Börse Xetra, sponsored by Roundhill Investments, an ETF sponsor with an emphasis on novel-themed products. In Germany, METV is the first Metaverse exchange-traded fund.
There is a growing consensus that the Metaverse will serve as a successor state to the current mobile Internet, but it will differ in that it will involve countless interoperable and persistent virtual worlds that will be deeply integrated into the real world, thereby giving rise to a new medium and economy for work, leisure, and innovation.
According to projections made by Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, the Metaverse economy will be worth around $8 trillion. Founder and current CEO of Nvidia Jensen Huang have stated his confidence that the Metaverse economy would one day surpass its physical counterpart.
The Roundhill Ball Metaverse UCITS ETF (METV) is the least expensive European exchange-traded vehicle dedicated to the expanding Metaverse market. It charges an expense ratio of 0.59%.
Ball Metaverse Research Partners, helmed by the veteran investor, advisor, and researcher of the Metaverse Matthew Ball, manages the underlying index of the Fund.
The companies that make up the Metaverse are represented on the Index in seven different areas: computing, networking, virtual platforms, interchange standards, payments, content, and hardware. Some of the company’s most notable investments are in Meta Platforms, Roblox, Unity, and Nvidia.
