The Ready Player One Author and Futureverse Collaborate on the Readyverse Studios Metaverse!

Futureverse, a leading AI and metaverse technology and content company backed by world-class investors, has announced the formation of Readyverse Studios, a first-of-its-kind studio co-founded by Futureverse Co-Founders Shara Senderoff and Aaron McDonald, as well as Ernest Cline, best-selling novelist and renowned creator of the groundbreaking franchise Ready Player One, and Dan Farah, Ready Player One film producer.

Using web3, metaverse games and experiences, augmented reality, and virtual reality technologies, Readyverse Studios is creating the definitive place for fans to explore their favorite tales and IP in the metaverse.

Readyverse Studios will debut “The Readyverse,” a dynamic interactive platform of interconnected digital experiences, in 2024. Readyverse Studios has collaborated with Warner Bros. Discovery in its first significant rights transaction to bring the Ready Player One brand to the metaverse across Web 3.

Furthermore, Readyverse Studios retains exclusive web3 rights to any future IPs from Ernest Cline, the famed futurist. Additional brands and franchises will be announced soon to join the Readyverse.

Readyverse Studios is laying the groundwork to make the open metaverse promise envisioned in Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One novel and blockbuster film adaptation a practical reality: a multi-world, multi-IP, interoperable open metaverse experience for mainstream customers. No IP has had a greater impact on worldwide culture and discourse about the metaverse than Ready Player One.

The Readyverse will advocate for open metaverse ideals such as proven digital ownership, community-owned infrastructure, decentralization, security, and interoperability. The Readyverse will be developed on the enormous technology platform of the Futureverse.

“The future has arrived even faster than I anticipated,” Ernest Cline, co-founder of Readyverse Studios, said. “Through Readyverse Studios, we will be able to leverage the revolutionary technology that Futureverse has been developing for several years to bring to life the best possible version of the metaverse.” I’m convinced that we have the best minds and the largest hearts on this team to take us into the next chapter of our collective future—a future that would make Wade Watts and James Halliday happy.”

Readyverse Studios is set to pioneer the metaverse industry, which has the potential to reach $13 trillion in value by 2030, thanks to Futureverse’s sophisticated technological stack, which has been under development for over 5 years. The scalable, user-friendly infrastructure and AI-generated content production tools provided by Readyverse will enable both IP holders and users to create engaging immersive experiences.

“We couldn’t be more excited to share this unprecedented news with the world today,” Readyverse Studios co-founders Shara Senderoff and Aaron McDonald stated. “With Ernie, Dan, and our partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help bring the metaverse to life, starting with the IP that first demonstrated its potential.”

This is only the beginning of our engagement with Hollywood and global companies as we seek to chart a course for beloved commercial IP to define the future of online entertainment, gaming, and social experiences.”

“Readyverse Studios will offer exciting new metaverse opportunities for Hollywood studios, talent, and brands to create new revenue streams and creative outlets for brand expansion while offering consumers the ability to enjoy the promise of the open metaverse,” said Dan Farah, co-founder and CEO of Readyverse Studios

“We are thrilled to be at the forefront of technology, embracing its potential while continuously exploring new and exciting ways to integrate it within fan experiences across our brands and franchises,” said Josh Hackbarth, SVP of Franchise Development at Warner Bros.

“Ready Player One has become a cultural touchstone, inspiring technology innovators, creators, and visionaries, and we’re excited to be partnering with Readyverse Studios to introduce these unique characters, immersive environments, and more to the metaverse across Web3.”
